Group Meetings

St. Paul’s Adult Choir-

meets each Wednesday at 8 PM. The choir sings every Sunday at 10 AM. The choir also sings at special services on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, during Lent, and on Easter Sunday. All singers are welcome in St. Paul’s Choir.

Sunday School-

begins during the 10:15 church service each Sunday. After a children’s opening which is part of the worship service, the children move downstairs for the lesson of the day. Sunday School hosts a Christmas ornament workshop each November. The Sunday School also puts on special services on the Sunday before Christmas and on Easter Sunday. Sunday School is open to children from age 4 through Junior High.

Confirmation Class-

meets each Thursday at 4:30 PM. The Confirmation is taught by Mrs. Ann Cavalli, with assistance from Pastor Holsten. The Confirmation class enjoys cookie baking and Christmas caroling during the month of December. Confirmation students are normally in 7th and 8th grade.

Ladies Aid-

meets on quarterly on the second Thursday of the month at 1:00 PM in St. Paul’s Fellowship Hall. Pastor Holsten begins each meeting with a Bible study. The women of the Ladies Aid meet over coffee “and” after the Bible study. As their name implies, the mission of St. Paul’s Ladies Aid is to support the mission of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Closter. They also are a part of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. All women are welcome at our Ladies Aid meetings.

God For Us-

A ten session introduction to the teachings of the Lutheran Church, is offered as requested by friends and visitors to St. Paul’s. If you are interested in this class, please contact Pastor Holsten.

Sunday Morning Bible Class-

is offered each Sunday at 9 AM in Fellowship Hall. Pastor Holsten teaches the class.
