Lamplighter – November 2018

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

You are invited to join us this November for a number of special days of worship. (We meet each Sunday at 8:30 and 10 AM):
Sunday, November 4–All Saints Sunday. Join us as we give thanks for the sure hope of the resurrection which God gives through His Son, Jesus Christ. We will also give thanks for those who have passed away in our parish family since last All Saints’ Day. We will give out a copy of the 23rd Psalm on that day.
Sunday, November 11–Stewardship Sunday #1, “Finding Rest in Jesus Sunday.” All our Stewardship Sundays are based on hymn 699 in Lutheran Service Book, “I Head the Voice of Jesus Say.” We will give out 2019 St. Paul’s Calendars on this day. We will also take a moment to recognize our St. Paul’s Veterans. Veterans from the community are also welcome to join us. We will serve a continental breakfast after the 10 AM service.
Sunday, November 18–Stewardship Sunday #2, “Living Waters Sunday.” All people in attendance will receive a small bottle of Poland Spring water. We will also give out 2019 church offering envelopes on this day.
Wednesday, November 21 at 7:30 PM–Thanksgiving Eve Worship. Join us for a candlelight service as we give thanks to God for all His blessings. We give out copies of the poem, “Thank You God (from A to Z) written by Pastor Robert Holsten
